Little Facts - Thanksgiving Edition

Fact: I’m grateful for my father for teaching me incredibly poignant lessons. I remember word for word things he’s said to me, where we were, and what we were doing. They made me a better person.
Fact: I’m grateful for my mother for being an amazing example. Not gossiping, giving service, and always facing challenges head on.
Fact: I’m grateful for Jason for being a man with a truly good heart. He is kind, unselfish, not prideful or stubborn. He is giving and loving and makes me smile even when I just think about him.
Fact: I’m grateful for my faith. It has kept me grounded and focused on the important things in life. It has taught me values and truths that I would never ever turn my back on.
Fact: I’m grateful for my job. It is perfect for me right now. It is exactly what I want to be doing.
This could go on and on. So I’m going to leave it at that. But I hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving. I may or may not return until next Monday. Who knows.

Handedness: I’m a lefty. Writing, throwing, cart-wheeling. So are my two brothers. My little sister is a righty. 3 out of 4 of us kids are left-handed. I don’t know how that happened.

“Planners I am completely undone without my planner. I have to write everything down, otherwise I’ll forget about it completely.”
^ Oy vey. Me too. Except that I forget to keep up my planner.
Little Facts: Oh, the outrage

Today’s facts are a little on the negative side. My apologies. Figured I’d get them all out at once and then we can get back to the cheery goodness.
Animals: I’m not a big fan of cats. I leave them alone and they leave me alone.
Trends: Like most, I don’t get behind every trend that comes my way. The MiuMiu glitter shoes have not convinced me that they deserve high esteem. Neither have the Alexander Wang cape shoes.
Holidays: For all your scrooges out there that are mad that people are already gearing up for Christmas and “skipping” Thanksgiving.. I’m grateful for Christmas. I had my shopping done in May, and I can’t wait to start playing Christmas music and baking up a storm!

What brings me joy: Hitting the jackpot while thrifting. I found 3 amazing pairs of shoes on Saturday. These little babies, a pair of Seychelles, annnd a vintage pair of Enzo Angiolini oxfords. For a grand total of $8.50. Heyo!
Music: I often find one little random part of a song that I loooove. Whether it be a certain note, or a key change, or the way they sing a certain word. I love the way the way they sing “pumped” in this song.
Bodies are weird: I am one ugly winker. I can sort of wink my right eye, but I have to completely squish my face to get my cheek to push my left eye close for a wink. I end up looking like Popeye.
And now for a Little Fact from Nicole!
Nicole’s Favorite Candy: I love chewey, fruity candy. Starbursts are my favorite. Anything fruity and chewey really. Not a huge chocolate fan but I like twix occassionally. Oh and lemon flavored chewey candy is my favorite. I have a thing for lemon flavored candy.
(I’m the complete opposite Nicole! I would have traded all of my chewy Halloween candies with you! We would have made a great team.)

Little Facts

Ok, so for those of you who are new around here, every Wednesday is Little Facts day. This was born out of two things: A) writer’s block and B) I don’t share a lot of personal stuff on here so this is my way of doing it. And you are all welcome to join in. I like to share a Little Fact from someone who participated the previous week. That way we all get to know each other a little better. Link up here if you’d like! (You only have to link up once. Children: I have no children. I do have 9 nieces and nephews ranging from 3 months to 8 years and I LOVE THEM. They make me want kids. Annnd not want kids. But either way I love them.
Pet Peeve: Filling my tank up with gas. It’s not the money that’s the issue. I hate physically filling my tank up. What happened to the gas station attendants that would do it for you? Ah, the good ole days.
Makeup: I’ve worn makeup 6 times in the last month. It’s pathetic. I just really love being able to rub my eyes whenever I want. And not having to wash my face. Because I HATE washing my face. (Which I shared the very first time I did a Little Facts post. Full circle. Hakuna Matata)
And here is one of Maggie’s Little Facts:
Numbers: I love the magic of numbers. Even numbers are preferable to odd ones. But I really like 27, because that’s 3 cubed and I find a supremely satisfying amount of neato-ness in that.
